I ’m not in Israel, nor am I using a VPN going through there. I’m not interested in buying a new Jag, nor have I looked at anything regarding them online. I don’t read our speak Hebrew. Is this the kind of confusion we can expect if the push against targeted advertising becomes a reality?

I’d say there’s a ghost in the machine. The USA today site gave me a mausoleum ad and wants me to join the Army. 90% of the time it’s a Volkswagen ad and/or a travel ad.

I wouldn’t expect that if targeted ads are blocked. That would favor more generic ads. This seems much more likely to be a ( badly) mistargeted ad. Would be interesting to know what led them to think an Israeli Jag ad was the right thing to serve.

I once got a Lancia UK ad on like MSN or something.
Ah yes, because an RHD Ypsilon makes so much sense in Florida.

Nope. I use one on other machines on occasion, but I have never selected Israel as an option.
